Road Trip

Few roads in the world inspire motorcyclists quite like the journey to Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable mountain passes. Located north of Leh in Ladakh, this legendary route has become a dream ride for adventure enthusiasts from across the globe.
The ride is about much more than reaching the summit. Every kilometre offers dramatic landscapes, winding mountain roads, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, snow-covered peaks, and unforgettable views of the Himalayas. As the altitude increases, the scenery changes rapidly from barren valleys to rugged cliffs and patches of snow, making every turn memorable.
Starting early from Leh, riders gradually climb through South Pullu before reaching the famous Khardung La signboard. Standing at over 5,300 metres above sea level, the pass provides spectacular panoramic views and a true sense of achievement. It also serves as the gateway to Nubra Valley, making it an essential part of most Ladakh road trips.
While the ride is challenging due to steep gradients, changing weather, and high altitude, careful planning and responsible riding make it an experience of a lifetime.
Spend at least two nights in Leh before attempting the ride. Carry your Inner Line Permit. Start early in the morning to avoid afternoon traffic and weather changes. Ride slowly due to low oxygen levels. Avoid alcohol before the ride. Carry sufficient fuel if continuing towards Nubra Valley. Check weather updates before departure. Wear complete riding safety gear.
